Pornography is no big deal!

This is one of the lies that the devil 👿 have use and still using today to entangled youth into the bondage of pornography. It is a fact that God is angry at the sin of pornography and will punish every one who refuses to repent. I am not writing this to condemn anyone but to provide solution because everyone who is indulging in it has a problem which need a supernatural assistance. Thank God for Apostle Paul, he actually wrote the state of pornographers in his epistle to the Romans in chapter 7 verse 15 to 20. I quote,

15:For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.
16:Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good

17:So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me

18:For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.

19:For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing

20:Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me

You see they are in bondage, locked up in the very act of fornication, entangled and defeated. They can’t help themselves, they know it is wrong, maybe their conscience probably condemns them or their heart pricks them but every time they tried to break lose, it seems as if they go deeper into it more. They are already slave to their master pornography.

Pornography is the most common sexual sin associated with young people today. Many young people are likely to be entangled in it before the age of sixteen. I am certain that 75% of young people are into pornography and there is a possibility that three out of five young people have lost their innocence.

Pornographic sites is one of the fastest growing websites today in the world with billions of subscribers. This is the bait use by its inventor the Devil himself to destroy the lives of young people. It is seen on the television, magazines, internet and social media.

It is actually painful that some of our parent have been the cause of this act. They watch this x-rated movies on their televisions, laptops and android phones. They read erotic literatures and even have a library full of them. They endanger the lives of their children ignorantly. They have forgotten that children learn from what they watch, see, read and hear. Let me say this, parents will certainly give account on how they raise their children to the righteous judge.

There was a time I used to think pornography is no big deal. Almost everyone indulges in it. I know of believers, respected individuals, role models and even clerics who commit this dreadful act. It is like a normal thing nowadays, even now it is legal to watch it once you have arrive at the age of eighteen. I want to say this without being unapologetic. Pornography is a big deal to God!.

In the beginning, I wrote that I am not writing to condemn anyone but to bring a solution. You are probably saying there is no solution, or thinking because of your too many failed attempt to break out there is no way out but I have a good news for you all. There is a way out, and the only way is Jesus!. He is the way, the truth and the life. You can break lose from the chains of pornography forever and feel like brand new person, if only you accept Jesus into your life. His yoke is easy and light, ye heavy laden!.

What about believers who see themselves going back into the sin of pornography and are grieving and feeling defeated?.Here is the answer that the Holy spirit gave to me.

• Ask God to forgive you for your backsliding state.
• Request help from the almighty so as not to slide back.
• Be determined.
• Build a very strong prayer life because a prayer less christian is a powerless christian.
• Meditate on the word of God daily and consciously.
• You can talk to a Godly counselor or maybe your christian leader.
• Watch your thoughts.
• Be careful of the movies you watch and the books you read.
• Hang out with godly friends.
• Ask for strength daily from the almighty because it is not by might, nor by power but by the spirit.
